Short version
We review supplements by reading the documents behind them. Nobody on this site takes a product for a review, and every review says so near the top.
What we read for every review
- The full Supplement Facts label: every ingredient and, when the label prints it, every amount.
- The seller’s order page: kits, prices, shipping and any offers added after checkout.
- The refund policy: every version we can find, with its conditions.
- The regulatory status. The FDA does not approve dietary supplements to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.
- Published research on each ingredient, from PubMed, the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements and NCCIH. A study on one ingredient does not test the finished product. In each review, we say whether a study looked at an ingredient or at the product itself.
How we score
We use five criteria and score each one from 1 to 5. The overall score is the simple average of the five.
- Dosing clarity: Is the serving size clear, and are the amounts printed on the label?
- Ingredient profile: What does the research say about these ingredients, at the amounts on the label?
- Safety and label cautions: Possible interactions with common diabetes and blood pressure medicines, who should avoid the product, and what the label warns.
- Guarantee: How long the refund window is, and what conditions apply.
- Price and value: The cost per day across the kits, plus auto-ship, shipping and add-ons.
Example: Our Olivaro review scored 4.5, 4.0, 4.0, 4.5 and 4.5. That averages 4.3 out of 5.
What we don’t do
- We don’t publish star ratings collected from buyers, and we don’t add review-count schema.
- We don’t quote testimonials from the seller’s page as evidence.
- We don’t let the commission change the score. We earn the same amount per sale at any score.
How often we update
We recheck every review at least every 90 days: the label, the prices, the refund terms and the research we cite. When something changes, we update the page and its “Last updated” date.
